Recovery is about more than reducing substance use—it is also about building the resources, relationships, and opportunities that help people sustain meaningful change. This 2-CEU training introduces professionals to the concept of recovery capital and explores the four domains of recovery capital that can influence an individual’s ability to initiate and maintain recovery.
Participants will learn how to identify strengths and gaps in a client’s recovery resources, recognize factors that may increase vulnerability to relapse, and incorporate recovery capital into assessment and treatment planning. The training emphasizes practical, strengths-based strategies clinicians can use to help clients build supportive relationships, increase access to resources, strengthen personal capacity, and create a life that supports long-term recovery.
Participants will also receive ready-to-use clinical worksheets and resources designed to help assess recovery capital and translate concepts from the training directly into client work.
Designed for addiction professionals, therapists, counselors, social workers, peer recovery specialists, and other helping professionals, this course combines evidence-informed education with practical tools you can begin using immediately.
