Kratom use is becoming increasingly relevant in behavioral health and addiction treatment. This 2-CEU training gives clinicians a practical understanding of kratom, including its pharmacology, patterns of use, dependence and withdrawal, potential risks, and its complicated role in recovery and harm reduction. Participants will learn how to identify and assess kratom use, have informed conversations with clients, and incorporate evidence-informed strategies into treatment planning.

Recovery is about more than reducing substance use—it is also about building the resources needed to sustain change. This 2-CEU training introduces clinicians to the four domains of recovery capital and explores how social, personal, and community resources influence long-term recovery. Participants will learn practical strategies for assessing recovery capital, identifying strengths and gaps, and helping clients build resources that support meaningful, sustainable recovery.

Women often experience addiction and recovery through the intersection of trauma, relationships, caregiving, mental health, and women’s health. This 2-CEU training explores the unique biological, psychological, and social factors that can influence women’s recovery. Participants will gain practical, evidence-informed strategies for addressing barriers, strengthening protective factors, and providing more responsive, individualized care to women throughout the recovery process.
